July 25 to 28th
I have the honour of guest hosting "Hexie Weekend" Linky Party this weekend! We have 2 giveaways! See below!
It all started when Angie from a Quilting Reader's Garden hosted a TGIFF Linky Party earlier this year where I won the giveaway prize she was offering. It was a fat quarter and some hexagons to inspire someone to try or rekindle English Paper Piecing. Well...I tried it and I fell in love with EPP! Thank so much for the giveaway Angie and for inspiring a new facet of quilting passion! So I am excited to guest host Hexie Weekend!
First Giveaway: I will also be offering a giveaway of a fat quarter and some paper hexagons for one lucky winner! Please leave a comment if you are interested in winning the giveaway.
Second Giveaway: AngieN is also offering a giveaway! Please visit her at Quilting Reader's Garden this weekend as well.
Here is what I have been up to with EPP hexagon flowers...
This picture I did at Summer Math Camp using construction paper while the students were busy at the centres and I joined in. Clearly I have hexagons on the brain and it relates to math camp!
These are my collection of 2 1/4" hexie flowers. Some you may have seen these before if you follow my blog. These are attached. I am hoping to make a scrap lap quilt with this size.

These are waiting to be attached.
These are all of them.
These are some other beautiful flowers in my garden. I think they are Phylox. They kind of look like hexie flowers!

I'm half way done on my first hexy quilt and I will definitively start another when this one is done. Lovely hexie flowers. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteYes, the flowers in your garden are phlox. I will have to look up the name of the variety. I like them because they come up like weeds and I can transplant them to bare spots in my flower bed.
ReplyDeleteI would like to put my name for your giveaway.
