Last week of August
I worked with hexies by appliquing them onto a piece of Kona Pale Flesh solid, 9 1/2" x 91/2".
I also completed my Hawaiian appliqué block.
Here is the before pic.
After pic
I did these 2 different EPP flowers travelling Saturday using a Jaybird template.
These are pentagons.
Hexie and pentagon mixed together.
I am linking to Hexagon Weekend by A Quilting Reader's Garden by Angie N., Slow Sunday Stiching at Kathy's Quilts and Life Under Quilt's Monday Morning Star Count by Jess.
Your pieced points are perfect. English paper piecing?
ReplyDeleteBoth gorgeous projects !!
ReplyDeleteI like that Hawaiian applique. Very nicely done. For the jaybird flower did you copy the plastic template onto paper?
ReplyDeleteYou have done a lot of great stitching. Sometime in my future is a Hawaiian block. Yours is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHexagon plus pentagon makes Texas Star in my book. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the pentagon - I have not seen those before. Beautiful hawaiian appliqué. Love the batiks you used.
ReplyDeleteWow - you've expanded your Hexie repertoire exponentially already. I think you're a natural at these, Audrey, and they're so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat shapes - my favourite is that last star.
ReplyDeleteLove your projects and fabrics.
